All data is securely stored on Locatify’s servers, which are hosted on Amazon AWS in London, UK. The AWS data privacy policy can be found here.

When users make purchases via the app such as tours or games, their payment information, including credit card, debit card details, or any other payment methods, is securely processed by third-party mobile payment services, such as Google Pay and Apple Pay. This ensures the safety and confidentiality of the user’s financial data. We do not store any payment method information, including credit card, debit card, or other payment methods on our servers.

Our app is equipped with a feature that automatically restores previously purchased in-app items. This functionality enables users to seamlessly regain access to their previously acquired in-app purchases.

Cape Quest app uses Google Firebase to collect anonymous analytics regarding app usage. This data is:

  • Used for analytics.
  • Used to send push notifications.
  • Used for improving app performance and user experience.
  • Not shared with third parties, except Locatify, the app publisher.

Locatify is fully GDPR compliant.

  • Content creators signing up for Locatify Builder agree to Locatify’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • App users access the app anonymously, ensuring that no sensitive personal data is collected or stored.
  • Locatify has a Data Protection Policy, and a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available upon request.

Player-generated content is content generated and stored on our servers while playing the game or when signing up. The content is: uploaded photos, videos, scores in games, player’s fictional name and the player’s email address if any.

  • 1. Player deleted by the game publisher
    The game publisher can remove player information from scoreboards from the Locatify Builder.
  • 2. Anonymous players are deleted automatically after 90 days
    90 days after finishing a game, the player information is removed from the game if it hasn’t been removed by the publisher before.
  • 3. Registered players control themselves when their data is deleted
    Players with a registered email address can delete their data from Locatify’s website using an email verification process
